no update? what happened?

So what happened? I'M IN TIME STRESS!!! I just finish printing of my diploma, but it's not finished yet. Tomorrow I have to finally finish the program and do some other stuff like burn the CD for diploma, write another semester's project and so. Shit, I'm tired. So be patient, these days, I don't know what real sleep is.

lack of time, lack of sleep, crazy ideas and such...

Every week a new DCD, that's the reality of these days. Do you ask why? Hmmm... Good quastion. It's because I have a lack of time, when I'm at school a cannot work on the ugly diploma project, when I'm at home I'm working on it. I wake up, turn on the hell machine of mine, and then coding, coding, writing, coding until I go to bed, that's my daily schedule when I'm at home. And when I'm at school, I try to use the time in the useful way, so I'm designing something (for example the layout for diploma project) or drawing some DCDs or voting bonuses. When I'm totally exhausted the only that help me is one episode of good anime, so when I'm totally off and have some crazy ideas like give up the project, give up the school or throw all the stuff out of window, I just watch one or two episodes and it's ok, I'm going on. Shit, I don't give up in the last semester of school, I'll finish it and they never see me there again.

DCD on Monday

I'm sorry, therefore expect a DCD on Monday. I'm working on my diploma project and I'm a little behind the plan, I need to finish the program at least on Monday. So it's coding weekend. But the last week's nights were copious, so I finished the new web page for the comic. So on Monday, there will be a brand new web page with a brand new DCD and of course a brand new bonus for voting :D

ads

It's ugly, I mean the ads. You know, when they write there, it's without visible ads, it may look nice. But if after a month of using, they put an ugly ad to your page, it's horrible. So you could ask like "what's this about?" I'll tell you. It's all about the counter I used, the old one. Don't use the easy-poll.com counters, they write, they don't put a visible ad to your page, but they'll!! That's why I don't use it anymore. I found a new counter, so I'll see how is it. At first look it's a lot better.

beta page

You know, the current STN page is horrible. It was created in hurry, so it looks like a crap. I've decided to make a new one, now I've finished the basic concept and I think it looks better. What that mean for you? Maybe next week, maybe in two or three week, I'll use this new page. Some work need to be done, so I'll not hurry. So be patient :D :D

future of STN, part 2

I had a talk with Acheron. And what now? Now I'm the only one author of STN. He'll take a hiatus until Chrismas, then he decide that he want to continue. It isn't end of STN, I'll try do create some action and thrill story. But because I'm not as good as Acheron in English, the dialogues will simpler. So next week you'll see my endeavor.

Did you read the rant today? I did. And I must write this. Acheron don't care about STN anymore, right? And what about today's strip. He just said, I wanna this and this, that's all. And then he wonder, if I draw what imagine in his words. This wasn't the first time. Ok no one is perfect. The original deal was, he is story author, I'm artist. It worked fine until comic page 8. I drew it as I want to, because Acheron was busy or something like that, and he agreed I'll do it all by myself. Then Acheron went mad like "what is that? A power armor? are you all right? you just crashed all my story!!!" But he didn't say that he want the character unarmored. So I made Cats like a gr34t pwnz0r with bazooka and power armor. Ok, you may say I'm too crazy, too childish or what. But the original idea of the comic was that it'll be crazy, unreal, mad, nothing serious. Acheron's designs (but plot will be a better word) wasn't so bad, but he didn't write there how he imagine it'll look like. He just draw something and write the dialogues. Ok sometime he did it, but not always. And then when I drew it and sent to him, he just say "I imagined it little different." When I asked him what he say about the strip I sent him, he just say "not bad", that's all. When I asked about the story, he just said "I have an idea, but nothing final. I'll think it up on fly."
The summer was great too. He want to create new homepage design, forum and I don't know what else. And what was the result? The page is still the old one, which he made when the comic started. Forum was made by me, the same be said about RSS, counter and Buzzcomix voting.
The hiatus until Chrismas... I didn't know about it. When I read the rant it was like WTF? Hiatus? Maybe it's time to fire Acheron, maybe not.
About my new project. I told him about it, but I also said that STN will be on first place and I wanna start it in January.
What will be the future of STN? I need to talk with Acheron first. Then I'll see.

bad mood

I had a talk with some friends about the comic... They said, that it's boring, there is nothing original on the comic and such. And I think they're right. There is nothing great about the comic, the story is poor, the "art" is terrible. There are some fans, but we've got just one mail, no complaints or fan mails, nothing, and... it's about two weeks since I created the forum and there are no users, no community, nothing. I don't know what to do... when I look around, I see just great comics like Inverloch, the Phoenix Requiem, Megatokyo ,Girl Genius and so... just ours one is ugly, poor story, ugly art. The only hope is, that Acheron definitely wake up and creates some kind of amazing story and something will happen to me and my drawing will not look so ugly.

october the 1st

So it's a nice day, we have a new update and everything is fine. Let's talk about the new comic page. Acheron made a great job, the design was really great and I liked it. So I tried to do my best drawing it. I wanted to do it properly, so the first frame took me 6 hours. That's too much for one frame, so I decided to draw it not so complex, you know, not all the monitors, cables and such things. The result is, I think, it's not bad :DDD
Now, the update, it was made in afternoon. Why? Because, I finished the page on midnight, Acheron slept that time and he have to go to school. But it's still Monday, the update day :DDDD So enjoy the comic ;)

What to say? It's another boring day. But the school starts tomorrow, the first lecture, History of Design. Now, what's new? Nothing, really nothing. So I tried to find some kind of racing manga or what. I found Over Rev! and read it in one day, nice comic. All beautiful car, you know, Silvia, MR2, Skyline... but one was really cute, 106 rallye. So I googled some info about it and it's a cute little race car, lightened, powerful, small and pretty. It's one of my favorite cars now, I like it because of Over Rev :DD

Some other news. There was a Comics-Salon in Bratislava this weekend and it was really great. The greatest things were the art workshops, so I take a lessons of drawing there. And I'm pretty happy now, because my skill improves rapidly :DDD. One couldn'd believe, that he can learn to draw in five hour of workshops. Now I'll try to use this new level of skill in the comic.

DAD on monday

Another DAD. The reason? Acheron is very busy these times, he is happy, when he save some time for sleep. The answer is DAD, so I have to draw something for Monday.

monday's comic done

I finished it :DDD I think it's one of my best comic strips. But you can see lack of skill in some places. As I said before, the skill improves itself very slowly. I tried hard, the result isn't ideal, but it's still better than the last couple of strips.
In the beginning of this strip, I was worried about some frames, but when I sketch some basic lines, I've got many ideas how to draw it and I chose the best one, I think :DDD And then, it's about the fun, and joy the drawing. The result will come, sooner or later, the drawing skill will improve. So I hope my skill will improve further. And one day, my skill will be good enough to draw comic as good as Inverloch or Megatokyo, I hope. But I need still some training to reach that level of skill now.

monday's comic II

It's raining whole day, such an ugly weather. So what to say? Hmm... I made the allotment for the comic and started drawing. When I was making the allotment, I though about frames for this page and I'd got some ideas. But I don't know how the result will look like. You know, the skill, but I'll do my best.

monday's comic

Now I'm thinking about the Monday's comic. There are some ideas, but I don't know. I just read the dialogs again and again. I have some idea for the end of the page, but don't know how to start. The truth is, that I wanna start today, but there is no idea how to start the page. Maybe I should just finish the allotment of the page and then I will see how to continue. I'll see when I wake in the morning, maybe I will have a new ideas or something :DDD But now I see, I have not enough experience with the comic, I'm just a beginner, ok you can say noob. But once in the future I wanna be a pro :DDD All I need is training :DDD

training is over

Yes, my two training weeks are over. Now I will draw the comic and train together. I hope the my skill is better than before, not much better, but it's a bit better I think.
In this two week, I do also something else. I finally finish the air intake panel for my computer. Now it looks like this :DD

back from vacation

I'm back from the vacation. I returned at midnight on Friday, so I was tired and on Saturdays and Sunday I have some work to do. So there was no time for the comic :( But the vacation at High Tatras was great. The mountains, flowers, a lot of kinds of berries, everything there was great.
But I didn't forget, the comic, my horrible skill and everything around it. Now, my head is clear and I think the comic need a little break. I need to train even harder, that's why is the DCD published today and the other one will be published next week. I hope the week of learning and training will show some improvement.
Hmmm, I don't know why, but the server is down now, so you can't see the latest DCD. I hope it's just a maintenance break or something like that and tomorrow it will be ok. Oh, when the server works again, I'll upload some images from my vacation :DD

everything is bad

Yesterday I read the first of How to draw manga books. And what's the result? Everything is bad, all the comic is drawn wrong, completely. Scenes, characters, heads, backgrounds, everything is drawn wrong. there is only one right thing, allotment of frames, everything else is wrong, totally wrong. Shame on me, that I publish such a crap. Now I will away for almost a week, it seems, it will be good time to reconsider my "art", the style of comic, and how to improve it or what. I hope it will be not the end of the comic, because me drawing skill is horrible and everything I drawn for the comic was drawn wrong. So it will be a long long journey until my "art" will be an art, and my skill will be good. I have to learn a lot, draw a lot and improve a lot, until the comic hits my and maybe also Acheron's expectations. That's all for today. I hope you (our readers, if we have any) stay with us.

old school machines

Long, long time ago, when I was a little child, there was a medium called diskette. You know, a small thing with 1.44MB of space. I decided to copy all of these things to my computer a burn it to CD, because it is the last machine with floppy drive, that I have at home. People say, that diskettes are unreliable, but they are NOT. I copied about 110 or 120 of them and just 4 or 5 was broken and they are 10 to 15 years old diskettes. So I was copying whole day :DDD
I also moved old computers, the good old machines. I remember how I enjoyed them when I was younger. What machines are that? One is Pentium 2 @ 266MHz with 196MB SD RAM, 2.7GB and 20GB harddisks, Ati All in Wonder PRO graphic card, old school 33600bps modem, 100Mbps ethernet adapter, and of course floppy and CD-RW drives :DDDD I pwned on this machine many years, it was a good one at its time. The second is Pentium MMX @133MHz with 64MB SD RAM, 10GB harddisk and some integrated graphic card. I used it for learning something about linux and unix-like systems, but I learned just a little bit, so I can only use these ugly ux systems, no configure, no administrate, just use. So my Operating Systems (school subject about ux systems) was E :DDD

home, sweet home

I'm back at home. On Saturday I returned from my holidays :DDD I enjoyed it very much, it was nice time with my friends :DD The hills, lakes, ruins, everything was great :DDD
Ok, that was the holidays and now what. I read Acheron forgot to update at time, when I was away, such things happen. And today, he has some problem with his software, so it seems to be another late update today. I hope it is nothing serious and things will work again as usually.

Yes, another bad news. Because I was away whole weekend, it will be once again late. So the comic will be updated tomorrow at about 4:00pm CET. I'm sorry, but this weekend was so ugly.

Some news, probably bad news. Because of Acheron is mad and he created a strip with 9!!! frames, I will draw it direct to layout. When we started with this comic, I told him, that limit for the frames is 6 per strip and he said ok. But now I have here 9 frames and no one can be deleted, and the strip can't be simplified.

IRL, F1 and some hobby

I watched the IRL race from Iowa Speedway today. I thought, that it's good racing like F1. But when I compare the drivers to F1 drivers, the IRL ones are lamers, they just go, they don't think how to overtake, how to use rival fails. One accident means a safety car drive, so that mean 20 boring laps... I saw the restarts, in one Danica Patrick was closed by two other drivers. I thought what's that? Are they blind or what? I can't imagine, what would happen, if there will be a start form rest in IRL... I think it wil be one big crash. So American racers, stay in America, we don't need you in F1. When I compare the IRL fights to F1 wheel on wheel fights, the result is the F1 is more fair, more hard and more interesting.

Another thing I want to write here is, that I hate people, which desgin something without using standard parts. I was building some light dimmer for my friend, but most of the part doesn't fit. I went angry. Why does someone publish this on Internet, and doesn't write there, that there are used special parts. And the horrible circuit board is another story. It's designed for making at home as a hobby. But at home, you can't fabricate profesional circuit board. You are using a felt pen. How can you draw a path between the pins of integrated circiut with a felt pen? So it goes, but you have to scratch all the shorts you made. And it looks horrible.

I tried to draw some pictures for the comic, but, they are ugly, horrible and i don't like them. So have to draw it again and draw it better. I hope, the new comic will be updated on time. Maybe in evening, but still on monday.

no strip today?

Yes, there is no strip today. And the reason? So Acheron is very busy these times, so he had no time to think up the strip, and he don't want me to create it, because of last time. Well, there will be a DAD today. But next monday, you will find a new one ;) Stay with us :DDD

latest news

It's time for some action. So, next strip will be my own creation. Acheron will just have to check my horrible grammar :D I wanna some action in comic, because I think it's so boring now, no action, just some jokes. The real action will begin in dungeon, so fear the ugly creatures inside the dungeon!!! :DDD

Cooling system improvement

Yesterday, I played Oblivion as usually, when I played about half an hour, I hear beeping. Yes it was the temperature alarm... How can by the processor overheated, I have there the biggest heatpipe cooler I can buy (Noctua NH U-12) and 12cm fan on it. So I though something is wrong with the case. And I was right, the case was pretty closed and the cable management inside was horrible. It looked ugly:



I decided to do something with it, I wanted to improve the airflow in case. So I grab the tongs, bent the metal on the back of case. Now can the hot air go out of the case without any barriers.
Then I made a hole for system fan. But I'm not a professional metal worker, so the result isn't so nice as it could be, but it's efficient. So the back of case is modified. Now the cable management. It's important, that nothing is in the flow of air. I moved the cables to the side of case, so there is some "tunnel" for the air, now. The "new" case is at the pictures below.



And what's the result? The temperature goes down by 10°C. So it's not very nice (the metal work), but it's efficient :DDD Now I have a big hole, in front of my case, so I need to modify the panels, that will be under the DVD.

Sporktris

Ha, i have a new addiction, it's sporktris. Do you know what it is? No? It's just another tetris clone, but it's nice and quite good. So i play it at any free moment, that i have. But I'm not a pwnerer in this game, i just reach level 10 and my highest score is 896. So I have to train even harder to pass level 10 :DDD It's a nice game, but I have to do a new strip for monday, so i'll begin drawing tomorrow. So you can wait, that on monday there will be a new one :DDD

It happened something memorable few days ago. The very first fan mail has arrived. So I'm happy, that we have a first feedback from a fan :DDD It means, that there are people that read our comic :DDD It's nice to know, that someone is reading it. It's Monday, but I'm late with today's strip yet. So I want to finish it today. I hope, Acheron will be free for doing the update today in late night or tomorrow in early morning. So it will be published probably at 1:00 am CET, maybe a little bit later.

Da end is near, i must just finish one last project and i'm free :DDD It's a nice feeling to have some free time again. And now i have time, T as Time, da TIME :DDD So i can draw now and i will. So there will be da new strip on monday. It will be, becuase i have time :DDD It's nice to have some time for things that i like :DD

Today, it's about comic and ice hockey. Da match was great, our team won da chanpionship match second time in history, we pwn da Czechs :DDD We won 3:2, it's great:DDD

So and now da bad news. I'm finishing my diploma thesis for this semester, so I'm very busy right now and I don't have any free time for drawing. This is why on monday will not be a new strip. I'm sorry, but I'm in time stress right now. On monday, there will be another DCD. It's not the end of comic. Acheron and I, we will continue. Maybe after the end of the semester we will update two times a week... just maybe...

da 1st post
